Cafetería

A coffee trailer is a one-person espresso line first, a billboard second. Pick the body that fits the machine, the water, and the pitch — then wrap it.

Start with the Machine, Not the Silhouette

The drink decides the body, not the other way around.

Most people get it backwards. They pick a trailer that looks good first, then try to figure out what equipment fits inside. The result? The espresso machine arrives and there is no room for it. Or it fits, but the barista has nowhere to stand.

A coffee trailer is actually very simple. One dual-group espresso machine, one grinder, one under-counter fridge, and one 3-compartment sink. Put those four things in place and most of your floor space is already taken. If you need room for a second crew member or a pastry display case, the body length needs to go above three meters.

Dome Roof or Square Roof? Depends on the Look You Want

The Pod food trailer is the default choice for street coffee. At 1650 mm wide, it is just right for a solo operator. If you want two people working at the same time, or plan to add pastries, go with the 2000 mm wide version.

Choosing between a Dome roof and a Square roof comes down to personal preference:

Dome Roof: Gives you a round, retro look that draws immediate attention at markets.

Square Roof: Offers clean, sharp lines and a flatter front face that works better for prominent brand logos and maximum overhead shelf space.

Both options are built on the same Pod platform. The only difference is the roof profile.

Can you serve specialty coffee from an Airstream style food trailer or a Capsule model? Absolutely. But they are not always the first choice for a minimal setup. If your requirements are compact, flexible, and operable by one person, the Pod is the easiest starting point.

What Really Decides Success Is Water and Power

Fresh water tank, wastewater tank, and power supply. These three utility factors matter a hundred times more than how the trailer looks on the outside. A commercial coffee setup cannot operate without high-pressure steam and rinse water. Ice is optional but recommended. If you are running in a hot climate, a dedicated rooftop air conditioning unit also needs to be factored into your electrical draw.

How to Choose the Right Size

2300 mm – 3000 mm: The sweet spot for a small food trailer focused on coffee and light pastries. For one person operating, a 1650 mm width is completely enough.

3200 mm – 4000 mm: Only go this long if you are adding hot line gear like a griddle, a second display fridge, or a dedicated internal queue line.
